Ajay Sanan, M.D., is a practicing ophthalmologist (Eye MD) in the Tucson, Arizona, area. He specializes in cataract and refractive surgery, particularly
in laser refractive surgery (LASIK) for the correction
of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.
A Tucson native, Dr. Sanan is a graduate of
the University of Michigan Medical School and has completed
a refractive surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine
with Douglas D. Koch, M.D. Dr. Sanan has also undergone
successful LASIK on his own eyes, giving him a unique perspective
on the refractive surgical experience
Dr. Sanan is also the author of an outcomes
analysis software package titled SCORE. The software
is used by many of the world's prominent refractive surgeons
to follow the outcomes of cataract surgery and common refractive
surgery procedures such as Lasik, PRK, and Intacs.
